Once the request has been submitted, the Projects Web Site administrator will create the project folder within the requested programme including all necessary documents based on the chosen project type. In addition the project will be added to the searchable project list. Once the project has been created the requestor will be notified by email. It is then up to the requestor to add/link the project to any relevant pages such as the programme page.
Any member of the University can request to close a project, using the left hand menu Requests link. The requestor must provide the following details:
Once the request has been submitted, the Projects Web Site administrator will check that the request is valid and if so, set the closure date within the searchable project list as requested. The requestor will be contacted by email and reminded to update any other documents relating to the project closure.
In order to be able to edit documents within the Project Web Site you need to be added to the Projects Web Site security group. Access to this group can be requested by the local Computer Reps who will contact the IS Support Group Service Desk. Once security access is granted, Editors will be provided with a drive mapping for the Projects website folder. For help with Drive Mapping, contact your local Computer Representative. Projects Web Site documents can be edited with various HTML editors such as Front Page, Contribute or Dreamweaver.
To read secure documents within the Projects Web Site also requires you to be added to the Projects Web Site security group. Access to this group can be requested by your local Computer Rep who will contact the IS Support Group Service Desk.
Any member of the University can request that a new Business Area or a Programme is added to the Projects website, using the left hand menu Requests link. The requestor must provide their contact details, and the name of the proposed new Business Area or Programme. Once the request has been submitted, the Projects Web Site administrator will investigate if a new business area or programme should be created. The requestor will be notified by email when the new business area or programme has been created.
