The exercise to update the KMS operation plan for 2007-8 began in September 2006 and the preparation of the corporate IT annual plans for 2007-2008 began in November 2006. Both processes were similar to previous years but had been adjusted to achieve greater consistency and interaction between both exercises.

Following the consultation process and the preparation of costed project proposals, the draft prioritised list of corporate IT projects for 2007-2008 and a covering note were published at beginning of February 2007. Following feedback, a revised draft prioritised list of projects was agreed at a meeting of the Senior Administrative Managers on 21st February 2007. Once funding outcomes for 2007-08 were known a meeting was held on 25th July 2007 with the Heads of the Supports Group and the Director of IS Applications to finalise the list. There were a few adjustments from the previous list and the agreed prioritised list for 2007-08 is available at Annual Planning 2007-2008.
