During October,

According to the yearly annual planning schedule, Accommodation Services have been preparing the project proposals looking ahead for the next three years,  The subsequent project estimation meeting has been scheduled for 10th November.

 The planned activity regarding active projects throughout October was very limited, with the only activity associated with the amended feed from the Student System.

During the early part of November, there will be the requirement to determine feasibility of commencing the following projects;

  • AP56-056: Upgrade Kx Test Infrastructure
  • AP56-057: Booking Agent Interface

Upgrade Kx Test Infrastructure

This project has been declared as part of the annual planning process .

- clarify project start date in November 2015

- initial planning phase scheduled to be completed in November 2015

- delivery date scheduled for March 2016

Dependencies

will require a large commitment from Accommodation Services team to oversee user acceptance testing

- will require a significant input from IS Applications Development Technology team in preparing the new infrastructure

- requirement to understand any potential impacts if a Kx upgrade is scheduled through this period

Booking Agent Interface

Achievements in the last period

  • The changes have been updated to TEST.
  • Kx have worked through the feed changes and have been in contact with Student Systems to make small adjustments.
  • These small alterations have been updated by the Development Technology team within IS Applications.

  • No issues to report.

Next Steps

  • We close off the acceptance and prepare for the production launch of the feed in January.
