During January,

Work on the Kx Infrastructure project continues. the project is currently running around two weeks behind the original schedule due to unexpected technical issues encountered during the testing of Application Webservers via teh Load Balancers
Initial project proposals have been received for the next Annual planning round. The programme manager will look to arrange an estimation meeting before the end of February

Regarding the strategy around the Delivered Catering procurement is on-going

Achievements in the last period

Application Webservers
- Testing was successfully completed on the test secondary Application Webserver
- Load balancer on the Test environment was configured
- Initial testing via the load balancer has been completed, with only one site, Internal B&B still to be resolved
- Go-live strategy for Load Balancers agreed - site checks to be completed via the Load Balancer on both sites using the local hosts file
Database Servers
- The build of both the Test and Live database servers has commenced
- Test Database server
  - All databases set up and recovered except for the related Kx-web-inspections
  - All users set up
  - All backup jobs tested
- Live Database Server
  - Server software installed

Issues

During testing via the Load Balancers, issues have been encountered during the testing of the sites noted below. As a result, the project has slipped a further week
- External B&B - now resolved
- Internal B&B - still to be resolved
- Delivered Catering - now resolved

Next steps

Application Webserver
- Complete load balancer testing with regards to
  - both servers being available
  - loss and subsequent recovery of the primary and secondary application servers
- Complete Deployment Check List
- Configure the Load Balancers for the live application
- Deploy to live via the Load Balancers
Database Servers
- Complete build of new test Database servers
- Complete User Acceptance Testing
Technical Documentation
- Update Technical Architecture Document
Live Deployments
- Determine requirements regarding live operational changes that require to be implemented and ensure any such changes does not impact on the on-going Test environment

RAG Commentary

The project having been re-planned, is currently two weeks behind schedule due to issues experienced during Load Balancer testing . Any further delays could impact on the business having the necessary time period to implement the Kx2018 software upgrade prior to the summer business activity
