To support an accessible and inclusive University experience, the University is improving the provision of automated captioning and support for human-corrected captioning within the University.
Currently different services use different captioning providers which makes the overall accuracy of automated caption inconsistent and provides different interfaces for staff who correct captions across the services.
This programme has three strands:
- Improving automated tools.
- Human finishing service for high priority media or media publishing that carries a reputational risk.
- Ongoing evaluation of the student experience of learning with video.
