Achievements

• The Project Team has signed off testing of the Oracle fix and are now preparing for the live deployment.
• We are working with business partners to agree a suitable go live date.  The go live will involve taking the IDM service down for 1 day and we are aware of key business events taking place during February which will prevent this.  A possible go live date of March looks suitable.

Issues

• The current project milestones will need to be revised.  This will be done once the go live date has been confirmed.

Next steps

• Agree on a deployment date with key stakeholders.

• Deploy to live.

Achievements this period

• Asta project request approved
• Initial meeting has taken place with Service Manager and Programme Manager to discuss the project
• Project kick off meeting with the project team is scheduled for 04/02/2020
• The brief and 3 point estimate has been put together based on the COM046 Wiki upgrade project. The 3 point estimate has been reviewed against the actuals used in COM046. This is ready to circulate to the project team for review.

• Circulate the brief and review the estimations with the project team
•  The next enterprise release from Atlassian will be made end of March / beginning of April. Milestones to be put together for a beginning of April start.

COM051 Office 365 Security Hardening

Achievements in Last Period:

• Tightening access controls on Office 365 admin accounts is approximately 80% complete.
• Scripts have been written and tested in running delete rules which allow for auto-forwarding of eMails. Users would be advised that rules are deleted but there is nothing to prevent re-keying other than through education. Proper timings on the frequency in which scripts should be run is to be explored as a follow on action.

Issues:

• Competing demands with staff absence and project resource focused with priority on student elections has hampered accurate status reporting.
• To discuss the standardisation of time-sheet capture.

Next Steps:

• To re-assess with accuracy the present position of the project.
• To seek alternative inputs taken from the eMail Working Group minutes.

COM052 C-Host Infrastructure Replacement

• All Resources assigned to Project 
• Project Brief signed off by all stakeholders
• Project Sponsor for project has now been amended to be Catherine Hetherington(it was Alex Carter initially)
• List of websites and owners gathered

Issues 

• New risk added regarding possible Industrial action in March/April. Project Team should be able to work around this if it occurs.

COM055 O365 Staffmail Migration

RED - project has stalled because of issues with migrations

There is an on-going issue with the migration tool, and its ability to connect to the MicroSoft infrastructure. The issue is on the MS side and ISG teams are working with MS to resolve. This has further pushed back the pilot migration, which was already postponed due to strike action in December. We are against a deadline of July 2020 for de-commissioning of Staffmail.
