July 2020 Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update
In this reporting period, the SOA Upgrade and Wiki Upgrade projects have been closed. The SOA Closure has allowed the DB Upgrade to be reactivated. Limited progress has been made on the O365 hardening and Staffmail Migration projects. The JIRA project has passed UAT and will be deployed to LIVE early next month.
Budgets are not yet confirmed for 20/21, so the programme has been given an AMBER RAG.

COM045 IDM Database Upgrade
Report by Chris Konczak for July 2020 Achievements this period
Meeting held to discuss how to progress the project. Decisions made were:
The project will deliver the database upgrade to the new virtual infrastructure
Estimation reviewed by Dev Tech
Replan project milestones in August according to resource availability. The milestones below are high level.
COM051 Office 365 Security Hardening

Achievements in Last Period:
A second, extended pilot of the Warning Banner was concluded.
A demonstration was given to college leads with a review of preparatory work done on auto-forwarding ban:
Wording of draft website page was discussed with feedback given.
The automated workflow design and form was discussed with feedback given.
The project continues to run without approved budget. Funding to continue has yet to be addressed.
The findings of the Warner Banner pilot need to be presented to the ITC in Mid-September. This prevented the planned go-live date being achieved.
Review technical constraints of the Warning Banner solution and thereafter, act upon the instructions of the ITC,
Carry-out an initial pilot of the auto-forwarding ban.
Revise the project plan (once the Project Sponsor returns from annual leave).
The project is reporting amber for two reasons:
The project has now gone over budget. Further funding in the new financial year will be required to enable project completion.
The findings of the second, extended pilot of the Warning Banner is to be discussed with the ITC. The planning of a revised delivery date is subject to ITC direction.
COM056 Accessibility Statements
Report by Victoria Weinsberg for July 2020 Achievements in Last Period:
Reports (Testing) for the following Applications completed to get reviewed by the Disability Information Officer
Chaneg of Milestones submitted and approved by WIS in order to meet the government deadline 23 September 2020 and deliver the statements prior to the IS Change Freeze
EUCLID has been outscoped due to different priorities and timelines within SSP
COVID-19 Outbreak is impacting all university resources and slows projects down due to lack of engagement and change of priorities -
Risk New Project Manager will be required as of week commencing 10th August 2020 -
Risk Milestones moved forward due to government deadline & De-Scope of EUCLID -

Discussions with Quest rearranging pilot of 50 accounts; scheduling of remaining accounts; agreeing procedures.

Schedule of migrations dependant of availability of limited resource across ISG teams.
Pilot of 50 accounts, date slated 29th July
Scheduling of remaining staffmail accounts to migrate; to fit to timescale agreed with third party supplier with consultation of Schools. (Informatics and Physics).
