Achievements in Last Period

• Network configuration issue (encryption / no traffic) resolved by ITI and Dev Tech
• Resource secured for Dev Tech to mid December and for continuation in Jan/Feb 2019
• Prepared agenda for a ‘user journey’ workshop for API publishing/store under the service model development workstream

Issues

• Cannot currently set up a secure public login for WS02 administrators - but a solution has been suggested and will report back shortly on progress.
• Insufficient budget to complete project, as it stands - information being passed to Programme Manager as part of budget review across the programme - Cost RAG marked as AMBER
• Project milestones past original dates – to be reviewed and agreed with team and Sponsor - Time RAG marked as AMBER

Next Steps

• Continuing with the technical tasks associated with making WS02 "production" ready
• Understand consultancy options for WS02 - cost/benefit case
• Further preparation for user journey workshop
• Agree new milestones for project

Achievements in Last Period

• Analysis completed for WP 6.2 (security scanning - dependency Check)
• Secured resource for John Allison to work on Python templates for APIs (WP 4.1) in late Jan/early Feb 2019

Issues

• Resource - no bookings in place to make progress on a number of work packages - bookings to be requested - Time RAG marked as AMBER

• Further work for software developer on WP 6.2 has been put on hold in favour of DTI029, pending outcome of resource conflict process - new booking to be requested - Time RAG marked as AMBER

• Overall project estimated effort to complete requires review – Cost RAG marked as AMBER

Next Steps

• Secure bookings for Development Technology and Software Developer to work on WP 7.1 and 7.2 – Centralised Logging
• Secure bookings for Software Developer to work on WP 8  (API standards)

Achievements in Last Period

• D6 Secure software development standard - work has commenced on this work package
• Events Uitility Booking - The event booking attendance recording tool is currently in development.  A system has been designed which will allow independent tutors to take attendance via a mobile device focusing on direct interactions with an API without the need for complex logins or authorisation.  The infrastructure has been developed and Adrian is currently focusing on providing the components of the API and then developing the mobile first application.

Achievements in Last Period

Work has continued on assessment of the current API demand and the capacity to meet this.

A review meeting took place on 15.11.18 to consider resource and skills requirement for the project going forward.

Susan Cooke has now completed the deep dive of the current API demand. This now gives the Sponsoring Group clearly visibility of the demand in order to prioritise.

The testing approach for API’s has been circulated for approval by the Sponsoring Group.

Issues

• Lack of  resource to manage API pipeline - prioritising approx. 5 API's and being managed by Susan Cooke until post filled on Service Management Team
• Currently reviewing delivery timescale and budget across whole programme

Next Steps

• Agreement of proposed UAT approach for API's
• Define support, guidance and training for Software Developers
• Raise PICCL to change delivery timelines once agreed
• Agree new milestones for project once priority API's agreed
