Achievements in Last Period

• DEV build still in progress. Was planned to finish 22/12, but there are still a number of complexities to be addressed. Triaged list of tasks available. Estimated completion date of 09/02.    A significant number of items have been deferred. These will be need to be addressed as part of the “Embed & Optimise” project. The EDW build is at the technical leading edge, and the experience gained will prove useful for other non-DTI work.  
• BI/MI service organisation tasks in progress. Draft RACI available.    
• Technical guidelines documentation complete.  
• Milestone dates have been adjusted to account for the late delivery of DEV environment.  

Issues

• Slow progress on DEV infrastructure build (see above).

Next Steps

• Complete DEV build.
• Commence TEST build.
• Continue BI/MI service organisation analysis.

The project is currently reporting AMBER, due to the late delivery of Dev infrastructure.

DTI019 - BI/MI Analysis Toolkit

• Version 4 of Simpsons toolkit (received 22 December) approved as our version 1.0 12 January 18
• Revised scope approved by WIS 26 January 18
  • Scope is changed as Consultant was to complete the toolkit but we are signing off their version as v1.0 of the toolkit and we will provide an updated v2.0 of the toolkit
• Revised milestones approved by WIS 26 January 18
• Revised budget approved by WIS 26 January 18
  • Redrafting of toolkit into a UoE toolkit plus review and signoff 16-Feb-2018 (new)
  • Approval by Operational Guidance Committee 9-Mar-2018 (new)
  • Delivery into overarching BI/MI Projects toolkit 16-Mar-2018 (was 1-Dec-2017)
  • Delivery Review 16-Mar-2018 (was 8-Dec-2017)
  • Close 23-Mar-2018 (was 11-Dec-2017)
• Current budget was exhausted and currently sat at 38 days against the approved 36 days. Project sponsor and programme manager have approved a revision of 45 days to complete the update to v1.0 to produce v2.0 and to review and approve v2.0.

Achievements in Last Period

As part of the communications schedule a lunchtime seminar was held focusing on the need for EDW governance and project pipeline planning.

All project deliverables have been completed and handover to the business owner is underway.   Project closure is expected to complete 20th February.
