Achievements in Last Period

• Architectural Options paper issued for review and sign-off.
• Planning phase in progress.
• Additional budget secured from DTI to cover expected project shortfall.
• 1^st Project board meeting held between Talend, Datalytyx and UofE.

Top Issues

• Budget coverage for the time of staff who attend Talend training.
• PM has been absent due to extended compassionate leave. Role currently being filled by programme manager.

Key Next Steps

• Complete Planning phase, start delivery phase.
• Gain complete approval for Talend architectural options paper.
• Agree and sign SOW with Implementation for next phase of work.
• Start design work
• Create and agree training plan.

Overall, the project is reporting AMBER until the planning phase is complete and the project mgmt role is secured.

DTI021 - EDW Embed & Optimise 

Discretionary

Milestones - To be reviewed and confirmed via WIS.

RAG: AMBER: ISSUE: Showing as an Amber project due to the milestones having to be re-planned. Scheduled to be submitted via WIS on 09/11/2018.

Achievements

• Project checklist out for approval prior to milestone sign off with project team;
• TDE investigation completed with initial work completed on an internal development site before being implemented on the EDW environments;
• First draft of the Archiving White Paper completed and out for review.

Issues 

• Resourcing issues within Dev Tech which meant we agreed to share resource with the INF programme due to the priority of that particular programme;
• A/L within the project team resulted in a delay to the completion of some of the deliverables;
• Project Manager time required to be conflicted due to additional time required on a Priority One project.

Next Steps 

• Milestones to be reviewed and amended;
• Gain approval on the Project Checklist Milestone to be signed off;
