Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

During December, two projects were successfully delivered and closed:

The DTI054 Large Events Platform project is in the delivery phase, focussing on transition to service and BAU. A new project is also being considered to develop further this service by addressing remaining outstanding tasks to fully embed and optimise the Events Air platform. It is expected to be initiated in April.

Therefore, the status of the programme is set to GREEN.

EventsAir Embed & Optimise A project to embed and optimise the large events platform, Events Air, delivered as in DTI054 Large Events Platform has been approved and plan to start in April 2021.

Achievements in the Last Period

  • 3-Year Funding, Roll-out model agreed by CIO. To be ratified by ISF finance,
  • Future direction (tactical vs. Strategic) decided. 
  • EventsAir: 7 events run successfully (2 Careers, Business School, 4 SRA).  
  • Work in progress to define and implement EventsAir service wrapper. 
  • Work in progress to define EventsAir roll-out model - managed service and full participation. 
  • Work in progress to define and implement governance model.   
  • Work in progress on payment gateway connection with finance. 
  • Future client engagement underway. Initial discussions held with Digital Curation centre, CAHSS, Vet School, Bayes centre, CMVM 

Issues

  • Progress of Managed Service engagement model.
  • Technical issues encountered during SRA UG Event. Investigation still o/s with supplier 
  • WPM Payment gateway integration - delayed due to P&M resource constraints.  
  • Handover to on-line and digital events service / service mgmt delayed to Feb 2021. 
  • Retention of key skills beyond the project phase.
