Key highlights & issues this month: -

FIN108 Essential Enhancements (FIS) - emerging risk that international bank validation issues in FPM may not beresolved before year end. ABS are working on a fix for FPM as a priority. but this may not be available until early August. This will impact on 16/17 plans and budgets.
FIN110 Coldfusion Migratios - now delivered and project closing
FIN112 Strategic Review - emerging risk that not all workshops will be complete before year end. This will impact on 16/17 plans and budgets
FIN113 Migrate eTime & JAMS - now delivered and project closing
FIN114 Version One - due to resource conflicts within both Finance and ABS, the project closure will now be extending into early August. The project is forecasting a reduced budget estimate as the majority of the work needs to be undertaken by ABS
eFin upgrade - ABS have recently reported that the V5 beta version is now out with early adopters. Start date for our updgrade has been moved out to October.

The programme budget is reporting a surplus this month due to FIN108, FIN112 and FIN114 now forecasting to extend into 16/17 plus the reduced estimate for FIN114. This surplus will be released to the CSG portfolio for re-prioritisaiton.

As the perference is to allow a few month between early release and our upgrade, the project start date has now been moved out by a further 2 months to start in October.
AP56-054 Finance BI improvement Core funded Planning - Aug 2016 Delivery - Apr 2017 RAG Status : GREEN	This is now planned for 16/17

Issues

FPM Dev issues for FPM v2.3 Configuration on Dev Environment (Batch 3 Jira FIN108-26) are not yet resolved. ABS has committed to providing a further patch
Following UAT sign-off, a new FPM Test issue arose for International Bank Validation (Phase 1) - Change of Hosting from UOE to Experian (Batch 3 Jira FIN108-2). Fix currently being tested in-house by FPM, issue raised as milestones may be in danger

Issues

The project's budget is under strain because the actual effort required for the eFin password change work has been higher than estimated.
- With the agreement of the Business Lead and the Programme Manager, the project budget will be balanced by transferring some of the completed effort on the eAuthorisations universe and report to FIN112.

Achievements this period

A further 4 workshops were held this month - Research Grants, Accommodation Services, SCE Schools and MVM Schools.
Analysis work is well underway and draft information packs are being reviewed with Business Leads from Finance.
Work has started on the summary & recommendations analysis

Issues

HSS Schools have requested that their workshop be held in August, which is beyond the target milestone for completing the workshops. A decision is needed from the Project Sponsor as to whether the project can continue into 16/17 (i.e. will funding be in place). As this is likely to affect the timeline the project has been reported on AMBER status this month. This has been flagged to the Portfolio Manager.

Achievements this period

ABS resource challenges (leavers), John Miliken Annual Leave (20/6-01/7) and Gordon Forbes Annual Leave (04/07-15/07) have all impacted on our proposed support requirements for delivery prior to 15/16 year end.

UAT period, whilst still over a 2 week period has been reduced to 5 days instead of 10 days.

Handover to production may be impacted

GO LIVE still with in 15/16 (29/07) but Closure 16/17 (30/08 )

WIS approved but extending the project into next year is far from ideal as Finance have no budget to cover it, so completing as much of the Closure Report as possible in advance, closing as soon as possible after go-live etc

Issue 5 (Risk5) - 03/06/16 - Due to ABS resource challenges the period in which John Miliken from ABS can support us for concurrent Build/ Integration/ Acceptance / Delivery has been extended to 21/07 - 27/07 which means we will not close until 30/08 and enter 16/17.
