Commentary

 

HRS071 - User Acceptance agreed and changes deployed to LIVE. Deployment sign off reschdeuled due to unexpected leave.

HRS072 - Concern over deadlines of RTI submission to HMRC, currently end July. Work is being progressed but has been slow due to leave commitements

HRS073 - Core deliverables deployed to LIVE on 27th June, however, post deployment issues have continued. Many of these ongoing live issues are now critical with no work around.

HRS074 - Project suspended awaiting HR scoping exercise

Achievements in last period:

Final UAT sign-off for HESA changes confirmed.

HESA changes deployed to Live.

HR loaded new ACTSOC values, and made the new ACTSOC fields "active", in eRecruitment.

eRecruitment extract changes deployed to Live. 

Issues:

Business Area Manager unexpectedly unavailable due to illness.  As a result, the Deployment sign-off has had to be delayed.  

Next Steps:

Deployment sign-off confirmed.

Achievements in Last Period - 

  • RTI Patches deployed in early June

Issues

  • UoE were unable to meet the Planned RTI  scheduled date in June
    • Discussions are on going with HMRC to reschedule our time slot.
    • Currently HMRC have provided the July time slot which means we must have our final RTI submission in for 25th July.
      • This is at a high risk to the Universirty
      • Finance / Payroll have been working with Oracle consultants, however the initial work has not allowed Finance to set the initial balances required for RTI
      • The 25th July date is not achievable for Finance. Payroll is working with HMRC to delay our submission date, when the Pensions Manger returns he will also be pursuing this action, as well as finding out what we will be liable to pay HMRC  - fine.
    • Refresh of data in TEST is ongoing 4-5th July, ready for progressing RTI

Next Steps

  • RTI Inital Balances issue is being progessed by Finance/Payroll
    • Consultant will be on site to continue to resolve the initial RTI Balances in July
    • Some new elements require to be set up.
    • After that Finance will run the RTI reports (through Dev,Test and Live) 
    • The pre-check alignment report will be sent to HMRC, when it is ready between the 8th and 25th July. HMRC will then notify us of any corrections.
    • The final information is required by the July Payroll.

  • Core Updates for Phase 1b and the PDF replacement was released to LIVE on 27th June (see issues)
  • BOXI security updates deployed to TEST for HR Systems Team review
  • Succesfull Applicant Interface update 1 (for contract end date) tested, signed off and released to LIVE on 27th June
  • Acceptance sign off from User group and Project Board for all deployments week of 24th July
  • PDF infrastructure created in live ahaed of deployment on 27th July
  • Ongoing issue resolution

Plan

Real Time Information (RTI) and Autoenrolement, introduced in 12/13, have potentially altered the normal plan and approach for this project. It may be more sensible to start this project earlier should the start of the RTI submissions to HRMC require immediate updates.

Start and end dates will depend on what Oracle release patches and how urgently they need to be applied to our system.
