Commentary

HRS073 - Final Core deliverables signed off in TEST. Concerns over TEST and DEV performance following clone being investigated by Core. Project will now move to formal closure. Phase 2 planning underway. 

HRS072 - Project will now move to formal project closure. Work required to resolve outstanding issues with reporting for RTI and Autoenrolment will be assessed once an Oracle consultant has confirmed the steps required to resolve these. 

HRS071 - HESA submission committed to HESA. Code changes to be retrospectively applied to the extract code and the final housekeeping tasks to be undertaken. Project will then move to project closure. 

HRS075 - Project Brief being finalised with stakeholders.

Business Consultations are running through to end July. This project cannot start until clear agreement has been reached on how to proceed.

The eRecruitment Project Board has requested that the eRecruitment team review the high level plan for Phase 2 and the functionality of the next few releases of eRecruitment to confirm a plan for the January Project Board.

Moving HR Databases (R12 /eRecruitment) to New Infrastructure

Head of Production Management (IS Apps) has indicated that this Oracle HR & Payroll migration should be completed before the Family pack patching for HR & Payroll Annual Maintenance 13/14. However, it has been agreed that the risk to the Tax Year End patching is to great and the migartion will now start in March with the LIVE environment to be migrated early summer. 

 

Dependencies

eRecruitment migration will need to be co-ordinated with Core should they need to undertake any updates to the application configuration.

Achievements in last period:
  • Further changes needed to the XML code to ensure that the FTE calculation was returned correctly rounded as required by HESA
  • HR finalised updates required to data
  • HESA IDs created for REF'able staff outwith the HESA submission dates and transferred to PURE and the REF system
  • HESA submission committed within the timescales
  • Code changes to the XML retrospectivly change in the extract code for housekeeping

 

Issues:

  • Further last minute changes required to the XML code as the extract process could not be run again. The process for testing and the overall plan with associated risks need to be reviewed for future HESA submissions. 

Next Steps:

Complete all final housekeeping tasks, e.g. update SVS.

The business processes have become much more involved with RTI and the monthly work required by Payroll and Finance. The new processes are still to bed in. It appears that the Inland Revenue may also be having similar issues

Achievements in Last Period

  • The business are still aiming to complete and balance employer payment  summary for  September, however the milestone will be withdrawn as no support is required from IS for this.
    • Business are going to hire the same RTI Oracle consultant to ensure this work is completed fully and correctly
  • Last milestone has been withdrawn and Closure by the business has taken place in the first week in November.

Achievements in Last Period 
  • Testing of Clone for DEV and TEST
  • Sign off for TEST Clone (although issue remains with speed/performance following clone)
  • Sign off for PDF and Internal Applicant changes in TEST
  • Pre Project Planning with Core to determine the high level Phase 2 plan. 

 

Issues 
  • Speed of TEST and DEV has been an issue since the clone. A restart has not resolved the problem and a ticket has been raised with Core. It is likely that some of the data will need to be removed to reduce the size of the database. This is being progressed with Core and IS Applications support teams rather than as a project issue. 

 

Next Steps 
  • Deployment sign off for Core Phase 1b deliverables 

  • Deploy PDF and Internal Applicant changes to LIVE
