Commentary
HRS068 - eRecruitment Lessons learned exercise had to be postponed to allow key people to attend an urgent Autoenrolment/Tax Year End Meeting. Due to leave and other commitements this exercise cannot be held until April
HRS070 - Closure delayed so as not to impact resourcing of HRS072 during critical phase. Closure reschdeuled for end March.
HRS071 - Lead Developer was lost to HRS072 to undertake critical Autoenrolment work. Project to be replanned.
HRS072 - Critical issues encountered during Autoenrolment updates, matter was escalated and resolved by Oracle before manual process had to be implemented. Tax Year end and RTI updates planned for LIVE on 10th/11th March
HRS073 - Supplier has started initial developments. Detailed plan to be produced for HR testing of releases and IS Apps development.
HRS074/AP23-053 - Project initiated with planning to formally start in April.

HRS070 (AP90-049 ) Procure and Implement New Recruitment System Category: Discretionary Milestones RAG Status BLUE | Report by Nikki Stuart for February 2013 Achievements in Last Period - Ongoing resolution of remaining LIVE issues with Core
- Preparation for hands-on training
- BOXI testing
- User Group and Project Board meetings to review and confirm Phase 1b requirements
- Continued planning for Phase 1b and project initiated
Issues - Investigation is still ongoing for outstanding issues relating to notifications. Core and HR are working together to try to replicate this intermittent issue while Core are monitoring the servers/processes.
- Closure review meeting had to be cancelled due to a higher priority issue with the autoenrolment process that required key people at both meetings. Due to leave and other commitments of key project team members, the meeting could not be rescheduled until 10th April.

HRS071 (AP23-006 ) HR HESA Staff Return 12/13 Category: Compliance Milestones RAG Status AMBER (due to loss of Lead Developer to HRS072) | Report by Jill Nicoll for February 2013 Achievements in last period: - System Design completed and approved.
- Estimates reviewed, with no significant changes.
- The first new Developer is progressing well with the Build.
- The second new Developer has been enrolled on the training course on the new software tool that will be used to redevelop the HESA forms.
Issues - Last month, we reported that the Systems Designer / Lead Developer has a great many other demands on her time,and that her team leader had consequently advised that her booking should be reduced to only 56% fte. This month, the demands on this key project resource have have continued to increase. Indeed, issues with project HRS072 have resulted in the complete loss of this key resource for more than a week.
- There is currently no indication as to when HRS072 will return the Systems Designer / Lead Developer to this project. If necessary, the project will be be re-planned, and milestones adjusted, upon her return.
- As reported last month: "It was agreed at the Business Analysis Review meeting that there is a potential to deliver in a phased approach, with the changes to the HR database and application being released ahead of the rest of the deliverables. This would allow HR more time to input data into the new HR fields." The above-mentioned loss of the Lead Developer has resulted in a delay to this key project deliverable. An alternate resource is being sought to complete the abandoned tasks.
- The project team is still unsure as to how to derive two of the required data elements (ACTSOC and ACEMPFUN).
Next Steps: - Project team to resolve the question of how to derive ACTSOC and ACEMPFUN.
- Business Area Manager to provide the logic required to derive LEVELS.
- Business Area Manager to provide an initial data mapping from Level 5 Org Unit to CURACCDIS.
- PURE system owner to provide initial csv downloads for ECRSTAT and RESAST.
- Second new developer to attend Apex training course in late March.
- The Build is scheduled to progress throughout March.

HRS072 (AP23-005) Oracle HR & Payroll Annual Patching Category: Compliance Milestones RAG Status Amber | Report by Anne Mathison for February 13 Achievements in Last Period - Unplanned Auto-enrolment (AE) work required before TYE - achieved
- AE progressed through DEV and TEST by 1st March and deployed to LIVE 4th March
- P2 TYE and RTI investigation complete
- P2 TYE and RTI Dev patches complete
- P2 Security + JRE Patches and Password change Investigation is complete
Issues Unplanned Auto-enrolment work was required as soon as possible and has had to be accommodated before the tight P2 TYE + RTI patches deadlines. This has then reduced the time available for TYE + RTI in Dev and Test Separating out and replanning the P2 Security patches Delaying implementing the P60 work
HR Globals has caused errors when completing patches. Unplanned TYE +RTI required patch arrived 4-Mar-13 also required for Phase 2 go LIVE - currently being progressed after AE (AE LIVE on 4th March, TYE+RTI to TEST Patches 5th March)
Next Steps Release to Test Phase 2 for TYE, and RTI is scheduled for 5th March UAT for Phase 2 for TYE, and RTI is scheduled for 6-7th March (contingency 8th March am Go Live for Phase 2 for TYE, and RTI is scheduled for 11-12th March, with signoff on 13th March Milestones and estimates to be revised for remaining Phase 2 prices of work P2 P60 to be replanned after 13th March P2 Security + JRE patches an Password change to be replanned after 13th March
