Commentary

HRS070 Implement New Recruitment System - AMBER status reflects high volume of post launch feedback and need to agree revised deployment date. 

HRS068 Oracle HRMS R12 Upgrade - AMBER status reflects need to replan milestones. Deployment sign off has been scheduled for the early January. 

HRS072 HR and Payroll Annual Maintenance - AMBER status reflects emerging issues with DEV clone.

Achievements in Last Period
  • Project has provided extended support for R12, particularly to cover the first payroll run
  • Investgated and Resolved post upgrade issues
  • Build for Transport Loans Application completed
  • system documentation including Disaster Recovery and System description completed
  • Disaster Recovery testing succesful
  • Handover to Technology Management comeplet

 

Issues 
  • The project team are now all involved in high priority HR & Payroll Annual Maintenance or HESA project work. This along with continuing issues with the eRecruitment system/interfaces impacted on the teams ability to complete out all tasks. Milestones now need to be revised. 
 Next Steps
  • Resolve final post upgrade issues
  • Deliver TRansport Loans Application to TEST
  • Complete final post upgrade tasks that were agreed during TEST as being lower priority
  • Deployment sign off

Issues 
  • The high volume of post launch issues have continued. It has therefore not been possible to agree a revised deployment sign off date. This will now be scheduled for early January.

AMBER status reflects the need to agree a revised Deployment sign off date. It was not possible to submit agree this until it was clear when the critical issues were likely to be closed out.

Issues

The Business Area Manager is a key project resource, particularly throughout the Business Analysis and System Design stages.  We are concerned that there are a great many other demands on her time, for example for eRecruitment and Annual Maintenance.  This may impact the time she will have available to support these critical early stages of HR HESA.  Delays in the early stages would also have a knock-on impact on subsequent milestones.
