Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Commentary

During October, work progressed well in both projects:

  • HRS094 HESA Staff Return 17/18 has reached the final delivery and closure phase.
  • A delay in the delivery of the business HRS096 GDPR Updates for eRecruitment will cause a delay in the start of the implementation. This is compounded with need to fit the implementation with the system availability to support the monthly run. This means the delivery will move to January. This change results in project reporting a AMBER status.

The overall USG Other Programme status is GREEN.

Achievements

  • HESA Cost Centre was uploaded into APEX Screens (284 records uploaded to Test and Live on 17-Oct)

  • HR continued testing and correcting data where required
  • Although HR have technically met HESA's COMMIT date, HR are continuing to fix some items.
  • HESA's COMMIT milestone has been achieved 1-Nov

  • Any IS issues raised to be sorted
  • HR continue testing and correcting data if required
  • HR will complete the Final Submission during November

Achievements this Period

  • Phase 1 business analysis on-going, BRD completed and released for review. 
  • Systems analysis and design on-going.
  • Budget and milestones to be re-reviewed by the Project Manager in line with ASTA / resource bookings.
  • Phase 2 Scoping meeting held with project sponsor, Alex Carter and Dave Berry.  It was agreed that as the present solution was not fit for purpose and a replacement strategic solution should be created in the EDW.

Next Steps

  • Business to sign off BRD.
  • NEWSTEST and NEWSDEV environments to be refreshed from live.
  • Script development to be completed and Integration testing competed.
  • UAT to be agreed and resource arranged by HR
  • Phase Two - Historical job application data in eRecruitment and associated universes scope to be agreed along with resource and time estimates.
