Commentary

 

HRS068 -  Project closed 24-May-13

HRS070 - Closure delayed due to holidays. Closure now planned for mid June. 

HRS071 - Project set to GREEN   as everything apart  from eRecruitment Interace will be live by 14th June  

HRS072 - Project back to GREEN as the P60 was printed and delivered before the end of May. Now back to more RTI patches.

HRS073 - Project GREEN again and has been replanned following last months issues. Revised plan has been approved by the Board and communications issued to Users. Good progress is being made with testing. 

HRS074 - Project AMBER due to risk to funding and unclear business requirements.

  • Lessons Learned excercise undertaken gathering input from the Project Team, User Group and Core. The Project Board were also asked to contribute.

  • The high volume of data has resulted in this task taking longer that planned. Closure will now take place in June.

  • Closure review and sign off

Achievements in last period:

UAT sign-off confirmed for HR database and application changes.

HR database and application changes deployed to Live. 

UAT sign-off confirmed for HESA Apex forms and BOXI Universes.

UAT sign-off confirmed for eRecruitment extract.

Issues:

By the morning of the UAT sign-off meeting, not all of the UAT testing had been completed.  This resulted in delays to the Acceptance sign-off, Delivery, and Delivery sign-off milestones.

An additional deployment delay will also be required, for the eRecruitment extract changes only.  This is to allow more time for HR to load the new ACTSOC values into eRecruitment.  

Next Steps:

Final UAT sign-off for HESA changes to be confirmed.

HESA changes to be deployed to Live.

HR to load new ACTSOC values, and make the new ACTSOC fields "active", in eRecruitment.

eRecruitment extract to be deployed to Live.

  • Urgent A Pensions delivered 9-May-13
  • P3 Build RTI Changes and Security patches 13-May-13
  • P2 P60 issue with Oracle HR and Payroll resolved 20-May-13 (P60's arrived in households later that week)
  • P3 ASOR RTI Changes and Security patches 28-May-13
  • P3 Deploy RTI Changes and Security patches 3-Jun-13

Issues

  • There may be more RTI patches arriving in June
    • If so, they will have to be prioritised into their urgency, before deciding if have tf they should be deployed in 2012-13 or whether they can be handled in 2013-14.

Next Steps

  • RTI Inital Balances issue is being progessed by Finance/Payroll
    • Consultant will be on site to resolve the initial RTI Balances on 14th June.
    • Some new elements are to be set up.
    • After that Finance will run the RTI reports (through Dev,Test and Live) 
    • The pre-check alignment report will be sent to HMRC, when it is ready between the 6th and 25th June. HMRC will then notify us of any corrections
    • The final information is sent to HMRC for 27th June.
  • Deploy RTI Patches required by HMRC (Dev/Test 3-June and Live 10-June)
  • Any patches that arrive require prioritisation as mentioned above in Issues

 Achievements in Last Period

  • HR Systems Team signed off releases ready for User Testing
  • User Acceptance testing by end users completed
  • Test review confirmed all essential testing complete and rework planned ahead of formal acceptance on 20th June
  • Sign off UAT of the PDF replacement
  • Deployment date for the PDF replacement agreed as 27th June
  • BOXI universe updated to allow HR Systems team to start compiling draft reports
  • Design for successful applicant interface awaiting sign off
  • Build for successful applicant interface started/complete due to start w/c 3rd June

 

Issues 

  • Additional work on the HESA project for UAT feedback delayed the start of the successful applicant interface and further security updates to BOXI
  • Issue with the development environment cannot be resolved to 7th June due to leave within Core. 

 

Next Steps

  • Complete BOXI security and other final updates ahead of live release
  • Complete successful applicant build
  • Undertake successful applicant testing
  • Acceptance sign off
  • Deployment of Core changes to Live
  • PDF replacement Infrastructure to be established in live ahead of main deployment on 27th June

  • There is a question as to whether the budget will be available for this project, currently pending a decision from Nigel Paul
  • HR's requirements as to scope of the system remains unclear, Project team seeking additional input from HR management re next steps

Plan

Real Time Information (RTI) and Autoenrolement, introduced in 12/13, have potentially altered the normal plan and approach for this project. It may be more sensible to start this project earlier should the start of the RTI submissions to HRMC require immediate updates.

Start and end dates will depend on what Oracle release patches and how urgently they need to be applied to our system.
