Summary

MVM508 [CMVM Staff and Visitor print consolidation]

The project has now reached conclusion and will be move a business as usual process. Enough internal card reading equipment now sits with IS CMVM for implementation  

MVM509 [Implementation of Vet Practice Management System]

This project continues to have considerable issues. An Emergency group was formed in light of considerable slow down impacting on the ability of staff to use the product. This resulted in multiple internal agencies seeking technical and administrative solutions. The system at time of writing has been performing adequately due to internal modifications to the database. The project continues to represent a risk and is currently positioned at red.

MVM523 [Pilot project for WHO's OFF online Staff Leave Management]

The project has had preliminary meetings with the Project Manager and Project Sponsor. and has now been activated ahead of schedule.

MVM501[Lease standardisation and tenant IT service entitlement]

At the time of publication of the October report this information for this project was not forthcoming due to Annual Leave. A report will be sought for November.

Achievements in Last Period

  • FNS failed to deliver sufficient progress for scheduled launch fo Farm & Equine hospitals in October - revised plan now agreed.
  • SSO Authentication verified functioning correctly on LIVE Provet Cloud environment (03/10/17).
  • FNS staff onsite w/c 02/10/17 (previous scheduled launch, the time was re-used for replanning the MVP and launch timeline).
  • Weekly drop-in training sessions continuing to be run Business  Lead with increasing uptake and positive feedback from R(D)SVS staff.
  • Local technical integration work to support move from Tristan to Provet Cloud continues with respect to the revised timelines.
  • FNS to be onsite w/c 04/12/17 (this is to support launchfor Farm & Equine).

Issues

  • No major issues at present. PMS Project Team and Project Board had lengthy discussions with FNS over failure to meet scheduled launch for start of October; an outcomes from this are FNS changing their processes and re-allocating resources to deliver an agreed revised schedule having agreed a MVP for launch in December for Farm & Equine with the Project Board. The project RAG status of RED reflects the significant changes to the timeline; the expectation is that the RAG status will return to GREEN next month.

Next Steps

  • Acceptance for Equine & Farm launch December.
  • Agreeement on timeline for HFSA launch.
  • Continue to review contractual issues (PM and Business Lead, with Procurement)
  • Review outstanding issues due to revised MVP launch, and planning for Phase Two deliverables.
  • Review project plan, timeline, estimates for next Project Board 22/11/17.
  • Review budget, resourcing, timeline and milestones.

 

Project RAG status is RED due to the revised timeline agreed which pushes the Provet launch and project closure milestones back by more than one month. However, FNS are working to the revised timeline agreed in October, so the RAG status should return to GREEN next month.
