Section Three: Projects in Progress

Project Managers Commentary

Report completed by Anthony Davie

  • None since Dec '17.

  • Project hasn't moved on since mid Jan '18.
  • PM still waiting on recommended adjustments to process documentation from UoE ITI CIS.
  • PM looking to move project to closure, with proposal for documentation to be adjusted after closure and as adjustments will be required beyond closure anyway, recorded and signed off by relevant parties.

Issues resolved

  • n/a

Ongoing concerns

  • Continued delays (3-4 weeks) around recommended final adjustments to process forms from UoE ITI CIS, holding up conclusion of project.
  • High priority Infrastructure project is limiting key UoE ITI CIS stakeholder engagement, thus protracting final stages of project (document revision).
  • List of IT support providers for tenants is out-of-date.

Next steps

  • Refresh tenant IT support provider list and contact information, circulate to project stakeholders.

  • Ask UoE ITI CIS if happy to move project to closure, on the basis that document re-drafts can take place thereafter and as documentation is subject to change beyond completion date of project.

  • Set-up project closure meeting and move project towards completion.

Report by Colin Watt

Achievements in Last Period

  • Provet Cloud in use in Farm & Equine.
  • Post launch issues are being addressed.

  • No major issues at present; however the timeline for full launch is being pushed back to ensure MVP is delivered - this is under discussion between FNS and members of the Project Board.
  • Escalating project costs (FNS development costs, and extended timelines, leading to increased PM and Snr Supplier overheads for the extended timeline as well as increased rigour on UAT); this is being dealt with by PM, Business Lead and Senior Supplier with FNS with support of the Project Board.

Next Steps

  • Agreement on revised timeline and scope for HFSA launch.
  • Review project plan, timeline, estimates for next Project Board 15/02/18.
  • Review budget, resourcing, timeline and milestones.

Project RAG status is currently AMBER as revised timeline for HFSA launch to be confirmed.
