Programme Managers Commentary

MVM508 [CMVM Staff and Visitor print consolidation]

The issues around the networking at Chancellors are now being investigated and identification of possible issues is closer. Continued dialogue is taking place to seek movement on the matter. This is the primary reason the project is amber  .

MVM509 [Implementation of Vet Practice Management System]

The project continues. There are still some concerns over the Tristan element but actions are being sought and  continued involvement of the relevant parties ensure that the matter is being handled at the appropriate level.

MVM522 [MVM Business Process Review for SharePoint Delivery]

Project brief now approved by stakeholders . Considerable progress is now being made. The project remains at amber due to time constraints.

MVM523 [Pilot project for WHO's OFF online Staff Leave Management]

No reporting required.

MVM501[Lease standardisation and tenant IT service entitlement]

Now moved to closed (see below)

MVM525 [Procurement of a Vendor Neutral Archiving (VNA) System for the Vet School]

Progress is being made and the project is moving to approval stage.

[MVM509Implementation of Vet Practice Management System

Report by Colin Watt

Achievements in Last Period

  • Post launch (Farm/Equine) issues continue to be addressed.
  • Agreement between Project Board and FNS to split the Labs / HFSA rollout; labs integration now to be piloted in Equine & Farm w/c 02/04/18.
  • FNS to visit the Vet School w/c 02/04/18 to support the Labs pilot.

Issues

  • RE: Tristan storage issue reported previously - a test to move representative storage is scheduled for w/c 09/04/18 with the live transfer planned w/c  16/04/18, this schedule was confirmed by the Dir of ITI to the Snr Supplier and with the current mitigation in place requires no further action at present. The issue does however remain a risk due to the possibility of further industrial action impacting on the migration of the Tristan attachment files to the new filestore and will therefore be tracked accordingly.

Next Steps

  • Update file attachments from Tristan filestore to Provet storage; it was agreed that this was not now required ahead of planned Labs pilot, however the filestore has not been updated since Dec 2017 and the longer this is left, then more time-consuming the update will be ahead of the HFSA launch.
  • Agreement with Project Board on approach on revised timeline and scope for HFSA launch.
  • Review project plan, timeline, estimates for next Project Board 19/04/18.
  • Review budget, resourcing, timeline and milestones.
