[MVM508]: CMVM Staff and Visitor print consolidation

Report by Sarfraz Mohammed

Achieved

  • Authentication issues - registry fix found for  I180110-0411\01

Issues

  • Further work still required to find root cause of authentication  issue (select print team)
  • Administrators at Chancellors, needing more detailed breakdown of charging, which is not possible with cloud printing infrastructure.

Next Steps

  • Further consultation with select team to fully understand the underlying authentication issues
  • Meeting with Chancellors administrators to resolve outstanding charging issues and resume roll out (conditional on step above)
  • Still waiting on final KT printer

[MVM509Implementation of Vet Practice Management System

Report by Colin Watt

Achievements in Last Period

  • Post launch (Farm/Equine) issues continue to be addressed.
  • Labs reporting pilot launch with Equine & Farm, FNS onsite w/c 02/04/18 which was successful. Reported to Project Board that Labs Pilot Launch milestone has been completed.
  • Focus now is still the documents and reporting from the clinicians end, to the client (owners/referring vets). Once this is complete we should be in a comfortable position to sign off Equine and farm. The aim is to start labs live with externals during May.
  • Location of Tristan Storage was changed w/c 16/04/18 by IS Infrastructure.
  • Accessible theme has been assessed on the Provet Test environment by the University’s Disability Information Officer. Feedback was positive on this aspect however there remain issues with standard assisstive technologies but the  Accessibility Health Check 1 milestone can be indicated as complete.
  • Zendesk now available to track service incidents on Live Provet Service.

Issues

  • No major issues.
  • Some Farm & Equine staff whose PCs are configured as kiosk machines are unable to easily switch between users and this is having a negative impact on Provet adoption; this has been escalated to the new Head of College IT who has also been invited to join the Project Board; no escalation necessary at this stage.

Next Steps

  • Update file attachments from Tristan filestore to Provet storage; it was agreed that this was not now required ahead of planned Labs pilot, however the filestore has not been updated since Dec 2017 and the longer this is left, then more time-consuming the update will be ahead of the HFSA launch (carried forward).
  • Identify external candidate for extended labpilot.
  • Review project plan, timeline, estimates for next Project Board 17/05/18.
  • Review budget, resourcing, timeline and milestones.
