Achievements in Last Period

  • There remain some items agreed in the procurement which have not been completed (of which some are no longer required) of those still required and which are not expected to be complete within weeks, they will be moved into a separate "Provet Improvement Project", but the project team has stressed to FNS that for already agreed work this will be expected to be done at the agreed discounted day rate for items agreed in the contract, regardless of UoE's internal project governance arrangements.
  • Work on locally replicated Provet database instance progressed as far as UoE able to; UoE have modified scripts and successfully tested the data transfer process but it has not been deployed to production; delays in FNS providing scripts have resulted in this work being delayed due to resource availability, and in turn this is a deliverable that has prevented agreement on project closure.
  • PM awaiting agreement from VTO that FNS's proposed solution for loading and editing of student details will suit their needs.
  • PM and Snr Supplier have followed up on the "escrow" arrangements on the UoE side.

Issues

  • Most recently agreed budget (approved October 2018) was agreed on the understanding the project  would be closed by 01/03/19 - contingency on that budget is now exhausted while the project remains open and, increasingly, service issues are being pushed back to the project to deal with.
  • PM availability is increasingly stretched due to resource conflict across projects. PM made clear to the PB that availability could not be guaranteed after March.
  • PM does not have agreement to proceed with further development work with FNS to enable UoE user feed work and a customised student load to be delivered. PB needs to make a decision on whether this work proceeds; if not, it is descoped from project and manual workarounds put in place by R(D)SVS.
