Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Commentary

During November, good progress was made across the programme with a couple of projects reaching delivery. All projects are reporting a GREEN RAG status.

The overall status of the MVMBus programme is GREEN.

Section Two: Projects Not Started

Project Info Notes
MVM507 Risk, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Agreement that MVM507 is to be delayed until next year (September 2021)  following mid year review at Programme Review Monthly Meeting - February 2021.

 

Section Three: Projects in Progress

MVM528 Provet Optimisation - RAG Status: SUSPENDED

  • Agreement to suspend the project, see project change control 2 due to resource conflict.
  • Review next steps and decision taken to withdrawn the project.

MVM529 Enabling CMVM Rooms for Hybrid Meetings - RAG Status: GREEN

Achievements in last period

  • Complete work in: QMRI (Auditorium & Peter Levine), Hugh Robson G6 (control panel shortage), and SCRM Seminar Room power supply and control programming
  • Update summary list of rooms for College reference with information on the equipment available - COMPLETE
  • QMRI rooms Peter Levine & Weiderlight rooms completed, and in use for hybrid meetings. Mary Kinross room updated (small item to improve is yet to be delivered, but room is functional as-is using the in-room PC). Auditorium also functional but requiring one further update. In-room guides completed for all QMRI & Chancellor's Building Rooms.

Issues

  • Request to HP to re-invoice with zero VAT has still not been actioned, despite chasing of HP resulting in delay in payment. Contact in HP has finally responded to ask their A/P to do this but no actual invoice.
  • Unable to complete CLAH 4-H1-003 because it is currently being combined with CLAH 4-H1-002 into a single room to accommodate more students for tutorials.

Next Steps

  • Complete install of CLAH 4-H1-003, when advised by J. Andrews that it is a separate room again.
  • Confirm that an appropriate equipment usage guide is in each of the meeting rooms listed.
  • Update the List of Rooms with corrected equipment
  • Update the Online Meetings page recommended equipment in conjunction with Learning & Teaching Lead & Learning Technology Section and add in newly completed rooms.

MVM530 Cataloguing CMVM IS Services - RAG Status: GREEN

Achievements in last period

  • First draft of the list of MVM IT services completed and shared with MVM IT team

Issues

  • Lack of resource availability within the ITIL team delaying decisions, direction and work on:
    • Submission/request process for new service entries into the IS Service Catalogue.
    • How CMVM IT Services will be differentiated and viewed/filtered in the IS Service Catalogue.
  • ME will be seconded fully out of CMVM to assist CSG Head of IT from Jan 4th - end of Aug 2022.

MVM531 CMVM Study Spaces - 2021 - RAG Status: GREEN

Achievements in last period

  • Lauriston Place Dentistry QR codes swapped the new codes onto the desks. 2m distancing remains in the building so no further study spaces can be opened up.

Issues

  • Kennedy Tower: will not open until Semester 2: no study space will be available so the room does not require to be set up currently.

Next Steps

  • Either:
    • a) open Kennedy Tower study spaces for Semester 2 if it is required
    • b) close the project if Kennedy Tower study spaces are not required for Semester 2 as all other actions that can be taken at this time are complete.
