Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Commentary

During April, all projects continue to report a GREEN status. MVM530 Cataloguing CMVM IS Services and MVM531 CMVM Study Spaces - 2021 have successfully delivered and will be formally closed next month.  A new project to review the process and governance to support MVM Information Security Compliance will start in May.

A new risk noting that CMVM may have insufficient resource to deliver the Digital Estate proposals, CMVM projects and BAU activities dependent on timing has been raised. This risk highlights the potential of many change projects that require involvement of MVM staff could happen simultaneously and stretch resources.

The overall status of the MVMBus programme is GREEN.

Please note that the project RAG status is following the revised guidelines: A one-page summary of the IS RAG status indicators is available on this page.

Report by Sheila Fraser for February 2022

Achievements in last period

  • Confirm payment of the HP invoices.
  • List of Rooms updated with additional rooms: Usher Room, Lind Room and 1 George Square all upgraded with cascaded equipment
  • Feedback received for Usher & Lind rooms that were not on the original list: these are working for hybrid meetings and welcomed by the Dean of MGPHS.

Issues

  • Still unable to complete CLAH 4-H1-003 because it is currently being combined with CLAH 4-H1-002 into a single room to accommodate more students for tutorials.
  • Unable to add all rooms to the Online Meetings page because some areas have local management of the rooms and do not wish to advertise the facility to others.

Next Steps

  • New request received for hybrid facility in 23, Buccleuch Place - as this will be only for 2 years until Usher building is complete work is needed to determine whether trolley equipment could be provided that could be re-located into the future Usher building. Agreed scope change to investigate options for hybrid equipment in 23BP.
  • Complete install of CLAH 4-H1-003, when advised by J. Andrews that it is a separate room again.
  • Confirm that an appropriate equipment usage guide is in each of the meeting rooms listed.
  • Update the Online Meetings page recommended equipment in conjunction with Learning & Teaching Lead & Learning Technology Section and add in newly completed rooms.
