 MVM302: Compute and High Performance Compute Strategy - RAG Status: CLOSED

Achievements this period

• End Jan '20, completed first induction for CMVM Research IT/Computing Officers for CMVM IS staff. Covered:
  • Research Information Management section (Pure, Worktribe etc.)
  • Research Data Services section (Research data management guidance, DMPOnline, DataShare, DataSynch, DataVault, Electronic Lab notebooks etc.
  • Research Services section (Research service facilitation and provision of infrastructure to underpin various services - Eddie, DataStore, Eleanor etc.
  • CMVM IS teams (Easter Bush and BioQuarter campuses)
• 1st draft of CMVM Compute and HPC Strategy formally accepted at CMVM RCG on 4^th Feb '20.
• Completed project closure report, creating version to distribute to CMVM RCG.
• Updated relevant project web site.
• Updated associated CMVM RCG Team (CMVM Research Computing Group) and channel (General->CMVM RCG Actions) actions to close "Finalise HPC Strategy" action.

MVM305: Flexible Server hosting  - RAG Status: SUSPENDED

MVM311: CMVM Data Storage Strategy - RAG Status: SUSPENDED

Achievements this period

• Agreement to suspend the project for two months, see Project Suspended - Impacted by Covid-19 following review of sponsor availability in light of the Covid-19 outbreak - move to WFH.

• Project Suspended until 29 June 2020

MVM314: SEBI - Data Collection and Modelling - RAG Status: AMBER

Achievements in Last Period

• PM re-established dialogue on OLA with SEBI team since their remote working.
• No progress with the SEBI team due to resource conflicts (PM availability, DevTech / Production), and subsequent impact of Covid-19. 

Issues

• No major issues.
• Completion of support arrangements and closure delayed due to availability (PM / Production Management for OLA) and DevTech (for TAD updates and handover, impacted by UCU Industrial action and subsequently availability due to Covid-19). PM to pick up on OLA with Deputy Head of Production and agree with SEBI team.
• PM availability remains an issue due to commitments across projects.

Next Steps

• Agree support arrangements for MSSQLServer (OLA).
• Close Project.

MVM316: Fragile X Registry website - RAG Status: CLOSED

• Project formally closed. The Closure Report is available to view.
• Feedback from the Head of IT for CMVM has been included in the Closure Report as a Lesson to Be Learnt.
