Section 1: Programme Summary

Forward Look

Based on current Core and Sponsor funding plans, the CSG Portfolio Projects Programme will be looking to start the following projects in this 24/25 financial year.

• Centre for Sports and Exercise System Procurement (Sponsor Funded)
• Centre for Sports and Exercise System Implementation (Sponsor Funded)
• Mass Communication System Procurement (Sponsor Funded)
• Mass Communications System Implementation (Sponsor Funded)
• Secure Automation of HR Correspondence and Amendments (Core Funded)

Section 2: Projects Not Started

CSG023 – Centre for Sports and Exercise System. Procurement Project

Status – Not Started

Update

• Pre-Project work completed on FBC. FBC has been checked and OK’d by CIO and Vice-Principal CSG. FBC to go to IT Committee 11^th September to get final approval to proceed. Sponsor Funding has been approved.

CSG024 – Mass Communication System

Status – Not Started

Update

• Core funding of 10 days approved for pre-project discovery work. BA resource to be allocated and outputs to be agreed with Head of IT CSG.

Section 3: Projects in Progress

R007c – HDS E-Financials Locker Creation

Stage – Pending Closure

Achievements in Last Period

• Migration of ora-fin-kb1live DB from KB to AT was performed successfully.
• Decommissioning tasks are being finalised and will be completed this week w/c 26/8
• Closure report is progressing with closure review meeting taking place w/c 2/9

Issues

• Decommissioning activity proved to be more complicated than anticipated. This has meant for extra budget to be requested and may impact on the closure date

Impact

• Negligible but may impact closure date by a few days and a small amount of additional budget will be required.

Next Steps

• Change Request for additional funding to be submitted to cover the additional work during Decommissioning.
• Closure report to be completed, to be put forward for Apps review

CSG022 – Review of IT Provision for University Subsidiary Companies

Status – Green

Update

Achievements

• Project removed from suspension
• Report delivered to Subsidiaries Oversight Group (SOG)
• Report delivered to ISG Senior Leadership team (SLT)
• Final report received positively by both SOG and SLT
