Totara Pilot

Achievements this period

• Revised and signed off project brief
• Gathered consistent course catalogue data from the pilot business units
• Initial user data uploaded to Totara LMS

Issues

• The system's requested domain name mytraining.ed.ac.uk was rejected by the naming committee; a revised request for mytraining.csg.ed.ac.uk has been submitted for approval, on the basis that a CSG sub-domain is more appropriate at this stage.  This is delaying the work to implement single sign-on which has a dependency on the domain name being in place.
• The project had spent most of the proposal budget; however a detailed estimate was produced and approved by the project sponsor and will be submitted as a revised estimate with the planning submission.  On this basis, the cost RAG has reverted to GREEN this month.
• An estimate for the feasibility of integrating with Event Booking is required but may not be immediately available due to resource constraints in the software development team.  A request will be submitted.

Next Steps

• Upload of course catalogue data
• Request software development resources for IDM feed and Event Booking integration costing/specification
• Secure domain name and progress the single sign-on integration
• Theming and branding of site, working with IS Graphics and Design team
