Achievements this period

  • Single sign-on/EASE integration successfully completed
  • Site design completed with positive feedback from user group
  • Bulk upload of more than 200 training courses completed by supplier
  • System workflow and functionality updates completed
  • System Administrator training delivered to the administrators for the pilot
  • Specification drafted for automated feed for staff joiners, changes and leavers sent to DTI Change Manager for API requests
  • Specification drafted for Event Booking integration feasibility study

Issues

  • No central system administrator in place to co-ordinate system administrators for pilot - to be discussed with project sponsor

  • Support arrangements for pilot still to be formally agreed and set up - follow up required with project sponsor regarding use of a functional account in UniDesk

  • Bulk upload of courses does not populate all course related information, e.g. URLs - system administrators to review and edit course records

Next Steps

  • Application and Data Architecture (ADA) document to be drafted
  • Training guides for users (to be produced by supplier)
  • Kick off technical feasibility/specification (with related cost estimate) to integrate the UoE Event Booking application with Totara LMS, with integration of courses and booking process
  • Finalise internal course catalogue - system administrators to review/amend
  • Work with DTI Change Manager to validate API request
  • Agree internal support arrangements (e.g. UniDesk group)
