Programme Manager's Commentary
CSG018: IRM Business School
This project will be progressed and is due to be initiated within May 2020.
The required business reporting requirements have been defined and prioritised
IRM Build
The Sandbox configuration is all but complete for UAT, with only aspects relating to Disclosures to be completed (logical approval, rejection and conversion to Technology)
The creation of the required reports has commenced
Access to the Sandbox environment has been granted to the Tech Transfer Team
Data Cleansing
Work has commenced on preparing details of accounts requiring attention
Training
User training is currently being prepared
The first draft of the user guide has been circulated for review and feedback
MS Teams has been selected as the digital training platform after also reviewing the features of Collaborate
UAT
UAT has commenced and will undertake the end to end processes as outlined in the business requirements with input from specific areas of the business
Issues
The scheduled go-live date of 22nd June is currently being reviewed - the configuration period of the IRM Sandbox has had to be extended and as a result there is now an overlap between the UAT and the User Training. A meeting has been scheduled for Thursday 4th June to clarify the project status
Requirement to highlight the importance of data cleansing against competing business requirements
Due to the delay in defining reporting requirements, it has been acknowledged that whilst the priority report will be available for the go-live, some of the lesser priority reports will require to be implemented post go-live
The Technical Transfer team have indicated the requirement to generate local analytical reports which is outside the current Service Document. A recommendation to enable this facility is being prepared
Due to the lack defined Tech Team processes, the first of the three formal UAT sessions encountered a few issues regarding user expectation and outcomes and as a result, the following sessions will take a more structured approach, in conjunction with encouraging the Tech Transfer team to utilise the IRM Sandbox for further testing and familiarisation
Next Steps
IRM Sandbox
Complete configuration incorporating any feedback from UAT
Continue development of reports
User Training
Complete user training for the Technical Transfer team
Complete IRM user guide
Complete data cleansing in preparation for go-live
Complete go-live preparations
RAG Commentary
The scheduled go-live of 22nd June is currently being reviewed as the period for UAT and User Training has been shortened due to the extended period required to complete the IRM Sandbox configuration. A meeting is scheduled for Thursday 4th June to review and determine the timescales going forward. A short delay will not impact on the business as current system (Inteum) license renewal decision deadline is 12th July and if not renewed will expire on 12th August
