The USG014 Development and Alumni CRM Procurement is now progressing according an agreed revised timeline, and reporting a GREEN status.

Planning is underway in USG015 Clearing 2020 where the additional scope is being defined and effort estimated.

As a result, the overall USG Other Programme status is GREEN.

Report by Frankie Quinn for April 2020

Achievements this period

  • Project Planning and scoping based on COVID-19 impact has begun and is in progress
  • Contact made with 3rd Party Suppliers to assess remote contact centre options and costs
  • Project Logs
  • Regular Meetings with project team to define best approach
  • Raised Project Priority from Normal to Highest

  • The current COVID-19 restrictions mean that it is likely we will not be able to operate a call centre from a single location. So solutions are being sought  to allow operators to work remotely, which comes with a number of challenges.
  • The Government may impose restrictions on the numbers of students the university can recruit which may have an impact on whether clearing has to happen and at what scale. We will need to await further information regarding this.
  • The original estimate of 50 days effort will need to be increased due to the whole new approach now required to deliver this project. The new estimate will be developed as part of the planning stage.

Next Steps

  • Complete project brief
  • Complete project plan
  • Initiate any 3rd party supplier procurement (if required)
