Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Commentary

Programme status: The overall status of the STU programme for January 2022 is AMBER due to Risk 14 noted below but also due to planned strike action which is expected to impact on the progress of STU267.

Risks

Risk 14: AMBER - Unresolved issues on how to replace legacy UG & PG Degree Finder application - issue escalated to USG and ISG senior leadership team. Current UG & PG  Degree finder tech stack is legacy end-of-life code , and will get very difficult to make any substantial changes going forward,  if there are any external statutory drivers for change

Project Highlights

  • STU265: Progress made in reaching agreement on objectives and deliverables in the brief
  • STU267: Project made good progress but development work is required and the project is expected to be impacted by strike action in February/March

Issues

  • Development required for student and course feed. The estimation and scheduling of this work is required before the milestones can be completed and the project brief finalised
  • Industrial action may impact the project
