Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

 

Overall Programme RAG: GREEN

The Programme mid-year review was completed with agreement that 95 days (40 days from TEL Programme Budget, 55 days from Programme Balance Row) be returned to the ISG Portfolio.

After review it was agreed to reduce the Programme Budget by 40 days as the remaining days will be sufficient to fund the remaining not started projects. 

The programme budget decreases by 40 days to 610 days, and the Programme Balance Row can be reduced by 55 days to 40 days. 

The programme balance row is decreased by further 8 days as TEL025 increases by 8 days, leaving programme balance of 32 days.

 

TEL025 Moodle Course Enrolment Management - Design review signed off.

TEL030 Annual Moodle Upgrade - Started; End of Planning expected start of February.

TEL031 VLE Student Analytics - Started; End of Planning expected start of February.

Achievements in Last Period

  • Peer Testing JIRA fixes (6,7,8,10,11) now resolved and final Peer testing completed / confirmed
  • Data Source now set up in Dev and tested ready to deploy to test

 

Issues

  • Build review held on 05/01 unable to achieve sign off as data source required, peer testing fixes to resolved and requirement for clarity on course code information to be finalised with Student Systems before agreement to move to Integration.
  • Questions raised about Student data relating to 'withdrawn status' has been confirmed by Students Systems and Moodle Service Manager. Final confirmation on using existing Grouper information on course code to be provided.
  • Provide an overview of any manual processes which will still exist on deployment of TEL025.
  • Review of project effort completed and due to additional work associated with course code impacting the project an additional 8 days has been approved for the project following discussions with Project Sponsor and Programme Manager.
  • Project milestones have been reviewed due to the delays around course code

Achievements

  • Iteration 1 completed (internal signoff) bar two lectures but signed off with a plan for missing lectures

 

Issues

  • Iteration 2 was late delivering to CogBooks. CogBooks have rearranged their dates and can deliver on time but it means that they will not QA the Physics of the Earth course. This is not an issue to the editors as they follow the formatting guidelines from CogBooks and can make any changes themselves after the course has been returned to them. They just need to ensure that CogBooks have the structure correct. Eduardo and Sarah from CogBooks had been moving towards a different model of QA for UoE and Andrew from CogBooks will follow this up.

  • Lectures 15 and 16 were missing from Iteration 1 but are being completed as part of iteration 2
