Programme Commentary

In this reporting period work has continued on both active projects. The final development iteration for EdWeb has been completed and will be deployed to LIVE early next month. On the migration front, scheduling for the 4th phase is now complete. Concerns had been raised about the response times since the IS website was migrated to LIVE As part of the next deployment efficiencies have been made in how the tree structure is loaded, which will lead to significant improvements on the front and back end.

The budget for 15/16 programme remains outstanding. 220 days have been secured from TEL, these have been assigned to UWP010 and the EdWeb Improvements project.

Report by Karen Stirling for July 2015

Achievements in Last Period

  • 3 JIRAs remaining to be resolved/closed
  • Migration coordinator activities ongoing for Release 4

  • A further 18 sites now in Live and passed to editorial teams/site owners

  • IS Wesbites sucessfully migrated to STAGING and LIVE
  • Review of project completed with BIll Lee who is taking over from Dave Berry's project role of Senior Supplier from 1st August

Issues

  • All rescheduled dates now recorded in migration tracker this has resulted in extension of milestone dates for release 4 and 5 and project closure. Revised milestones to be approved.
  • PICCL submitted for approval for 15/16 funding of 100 days to be updated on project,as per annual planning proposal, however a review of project effort will be required as revised milestones have moved project completion from January 2016 to April 2016. A risk has been raised to highlight this position and communicated with Business Project Manager and Programme Manager.
  • Ongoing monitoring of performance of overall site as migration numbers increase

Next Steps

  • Resolution of remaining JIRAs via Release 4, if deemed necessary to migration work
  • Continue migrations for Release 4 as per tracker plan
