ACS have used the UoE hosted Kx system since 2005 for the management of student accommodation, event management, commercial accommodation (hotels and summer lets), and also event catering. The majority of ACS revenue generating business is managed through the Kx system.
This project has been set-up to manage the migration of the system including the associated applications and database from on-premises to supplier hosted infrastructure and therefore delivering more of a cloud based solution overall.

Currently, most downstream systems integrate with EUCLID using the legacy EUGEX database, which has limitations such as specific update times, ongoing maintenance requirements, and susceptibility to failure. Change-based event integrations have already been implemented for some systems e.g. P&M student fees, Enquiry Management and the new Student Case Management System.
