In 2022 the University's Web CMS will be upgraded to a newer version of Drupal, namely Drupal 9. The current EdWeb installation is hosted within the University's infrastructure. The future CMS will be hosted externally in the cloud. This project will move the current Drupal 7 installation to the new cloud hosting service. This will ease the migration of content to the new system.

Project Summary
The project was to deliver laptops for loans to students, using the 904 laptops acquired by the university for hardship loans in the main.
Short Term 3 days (this can be extended currently twice, so 9 days) additional 200 laptops to be made available
Medium Term Up to 14 days 200 laptops
Longer Term Semester 750 laptops
This project follows the completion of USG014 Development and Alumni CRM Procurement which closed in September 2020. Due to the Covid pandemic, the deployment of the selected solution was delayed and will now start from July 2021.

The pandemic has accelerated the use of MS Teams by staff for business purposes. There has also been a growing interest and sporadic use of MS Teams as a tool to support hybrid teaching at the University throughout the pandemic.

The ongoing pandemic has changed the way we deliver teaching activities within our teaching spaces, pushing us to adopt a hybrid approach. This has highlighted some challenges when trying to conduct asynchronous activity within a hybrid classroom, making us aware that we cannot deliver this in the usual way. The challenge is the interaction between in-class and online students, ensuring that we make the online students feel engaged and included in the activity.
