Digital Library Infrastructure Expansion
LUC071 has been designated as the project which will determine the spending of any money ringfenced for the purpose of procuring storage for digitization activities within L&UC. It has been identified that substantially more storage capacity will be needed to satisfy the functional requirements in the activities of digitization and its resultant discovery and preservation. I have focused on images here: there will be some 3D, Audio and Video to assess along the way too.

We do not expect the activities for RSS301 will complete before the move of EDDIE and Eleanor from ACF to MSDC which would render the remaining tasks moot. As such, the technical lead has recommended that this project be closed. Approved by Programme Owner and Programme Manager

Within the MBChB programme in Edinburgh Medical School there is a need to have a system that allows the Medical Teaching Organisation to efficiently allocate, administer and communicate clinical placements. Currently these placements are administered via spreadsheets and mail merge and students are allocated to their placements manually. This takes around 105 hours effort per year group. In addition to this, there is preparation, checking and emailing, which can involve more staff.
