Project document: Conflict minerals  

Background

In February 2016, the University passed a Conflict Minerals Policy, developed in collaboration between SRS, Procurement and EUSA. The policy can be found on our website, and commits us to doing what we can to ask questions about efforts suppliers are making to combat conflict minerals, to encouraging further research, and to raising awareness of the issue among staff and students. This project focuses on ensuring implementation of this policy.

Research Computing Upgrade Information Services have completed the procurement of the £1.3m refresh of the University's central research computing infrastructure. The procurement was won by Esteem Systems who will supply Dell hardware. The new compute cluster was installed in July, and will be in full service by October 2015. 1. as they used the IT Tools

2. Feedback gathered from Focus Groups at the end of the pilot period

3. Feedback gathered via surveys directed at different role groups at the end of the pilot period
