The University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Research Collections has, since 2004, offered an ever widening digitisation service, ranging from the high quality photography of rare books, manuscripts and museum objects to video production and the digitisation of audio visual archives, covering the full spectrum of audio, film and video formats.

Blackboard Learn (Learn) is the University of Edinburgh’s main virtual learning environment (VLE) and home to over 5000 courses that are being actively taught at any given time – comprising of both undergraduate and postgraduate (online and on-campus). With up to 75,000 logins every day, it provides a home for the learning materials, resources lists, recorded lectures, virtual classrooms, feedback and assessments our students use every day.

Background
This project will include all details and the project plan for the deployment of Learn Ultra Base Navigation (UBN) which is currently set for the week commencing the 27th of June 2022. The UBN project is currently in an initial testing environment and as a next step, the Staging environment will be enabled the week commencing 18th of April.

Due to staff changes, the code which underpins the provisioning of accounts in Active Directory and the account provisioning on Office 365 now not fully understood or documented. This project will aim to document the code, hand over the code from Applications to ITI and make agreed improvements.

This course provides an insight into animal welfare in the veterinary clinic, including how to recognise different welfare states, and provides helpful information to improve animal welfare in the clinic. The course will primarily focus on cats and dogs, with an introduction to niche or specialised clinical animal welfare in relation to exotics and large animals such as horses.
Project was suspended for some time due to the course lead being unavailable but is on track to deliver to the revised launch in spring 2024.

Following on from 19/20 work, we will deploy DMARC report processing and update DKIM and SPF policies to disallow external mail submission with UoE email addresses and remove legacy mail routing that was in place to support staffmail.

This project will 'onboard' the Social Responsibility and Sustainability (SRS) Team onto the University's existing instance of Salesforce. The SRS team wish to move from their bespoke CRM solution to the university's instance of Salesforce to support their communication and engagement activities. A feasibility study was completed prior to this project to ensure the viability of onboarding SRS.
