The current telephone network in the university is a mixture of modern Voice Over IP (VoIP) system and an ageing analogue system.

The current analogue system is approaching end of life - and this project will replace the appropriate infrastructure to provide a VoIP solution to the University.

A procurement has been completed and a contract signed with a supplier to start work in November 2015 to replace the university analogue telephony system and to update the appropriate VoIP infrastructure as required.

This project will be run to replace the current telephone network and install new digital infrastructure, and also replace University analogue telephone sets.
