There are 3 strands of the proposed work:  

• Technical  

• Service Level (Internal and External to Applications)  

• Onboarding  - Standards, growth of API platform etc 

Business needs being met  

• Rolling program of documentation updates for WS0” products and services used    

• Associated Process Updates – Business and Internal  

• New product functionality appraisal and evaluation 

• Maintain skill base around the WS02 

• Establish the API service for fulfilment of data access requests, permissions and integrations. 

Problems being resolved 

• Enable systems integration across the University, ensuring stable up to date platform 

• Demonstrate strategic commitment to using API’s to full potential 

• Ensuring that the API service is easy to use for developers and sustainable for operations 

• Ensure that the API infrastructure remains flexible and can meet the changing needs of core systems and investments in Service Excellence 

• Maintain skill base around the WS02 

• Explore new features being released to improve our capabilities 

New functionality being delivered  

Immediate changes are to Gateway provision.  Other changes as per published roadmap.
