The primary objective of the project is the decomissioning of the ALUMLIVE system, used by Development and Alumni Engagement.
The functionality within the system is now redundant and it now just passes data from thankQ to downstream systems without providing any services itself. Some effort will be required to identify and accommodate systems that are still dependent on the ALUMLIVE system for Alumni identity information, such as the IDM and CCTS.
The main driver for the project is to reduce the costs of maintaining legacy Oracle database. Removing the database should also increase service reliability for alumni using the MyEd portal, Alumni Email service and other services that are driven by the IDM.
