GOFCoE (Global Open Finance Centre of Excellence) was created to drive the use of financial data as a force for better-informed policy making and policy evaluation with a view to improving lives. It will be one of the initial use cases for the EIDF (Edinburgh International Data Facility). GOFCoE is funded by the UKRI (UK Research and Innovation) Strength in Places Fund, which invests in research and innovation projects that aim to drive economic growth in specific areas of the UK.
Following on from the currently in-progress GOFCoE Extranet project being delivered by the UoE ISG Data Technology team, this project provides up to 60 days of effort from the Data Technology team to provide technical consultancy to GOFCoE with the aim of identifying and documenting business requirements and potential technical solutions for those requirements. Work will be completed by the end of July 2021 at the latest.
