Bayes Hot Desking

The Bayes Centre is the University of Edinburgh’s (UoE) innovation hub for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The technical strengths brought together in Bayes build on world-leading academic excellence in the mathematical, computational, engineering, and natural sciences in the UoE’s College of Science and Engineering. A number of organisations require space in Bayes and a system to manage a hot desking facility has been identified as a solution to managing the high demand for desks.

The ISG ITI Data Technology team have implemented the UoE SeatEd study space booking system as part of the UoE response to the Covid-19 pandemic.  SeatEd supports the UoE’s requirement to provide safe study spaces.  SeatEd has been identified as a system that can be relatively easily adapted to meet the hot desking requirements of Bayes.
