Impact
Priority and Funding
The priority of this project is NORMAL however there is a priority for the support of TAD database to be transferred from EDINA to LUC before the end July 2020. This is now in place.
Funding to support this project has been made available from the DLIB - Digital Library Programme which is sponsor funded by the IS Library and University collections within University of Edinburgh. Please note funding is only for this project to support the migration of data and management of data via Archives Space.
The project originally estimated 20 days for PM effort however following planning it was agreed to ensure project could support migration activities then IS Applications Software Developers would be engaged to assist on the project and also if new interface requirements were to be captured the BA resource would be resourced on the project.
This project is not responsible for the funding of the Tobar an Dualchais new Website being developed by Primate nor ongoing support for this. The responsibility of this development sits with Floraidh Forrest, Director of Tobar an Dualchais.
Impact and Dependencies
The development of the new Tobar an Dualchais website is separate to this project out with the Digital Library Programme and managed by Floraidh Forrest Director of Tobar an Dualchais. The DLIB003 project team will need to establish clear lines of communication to ensure deliverables of both projects can dovetail into similar timescales to meet hard deadline of July 2020. During project planning the deadline for Jul 2020 has been the support element of EDINA database. Therefore support will be transferred to Library Team to support database, migration to Archives Space is still expected to be end of July however not the new website, dates have still to be confirmed.
The project timeline is tight to meet the EDINA end of support deadline at the end of July 2020.
This project has been initiated during the impact of CoVID19 therefore there will be numerous constraints and dependencies aligned to the current restricted environments that resource will be working within therefore delays may impact project timelines.
