This project will devlelop EdGEL so that it is in a state where it can be picked up and used by anyone

The  project will:

• Review current state of EdGEL
• Gather technical requirements on what is needed by users, using the Front-End Software Development Community
•  Evaluate possible tools and frameworks that could be used
• Run a workshop to engage technical stakeholders which would:
  • Outline the current process for using EdGEL
  • Outline the current process to contribute to EdGEL
  • Outline our 'vision of the future' (journey of a developer from an idea to a new element in the published version of EdGEL
  • Gather details from attendees on the positives & negatives of the existing process & the potential future which will feed into the technical delivery process
  • Run 1-2 code sprints following on from the stakeholder engagement workshop to develop the code and get more community engagement and feedback

The project deliverable are:

• First pass improved version of EdGEL
• Improved build chain + tools
• Code standards
• Guidelines for contributing to EdGEL
• Guidelines for using EdGEL  ​
