Communications Strategy and Plan
 
Identify key stakeholders groups that will support initial data acquisition targets in the development and implementation of the EDW.
Produce a communication strategy that supports EDW
Collect communication content covering background, objective, purpose and goals that support the vision for an EDW to be used in stakeholder communications.
Define metrics for communication success criteria – e.g. business demand, acquisition pipeline candidates, conversions to EDW from other datamarts, Decommissioned Datamarts
Produce a communication plan and schedule covering the scope and details of the data warehouse project targeting key stakeholder groups to gain buy-in to the EDW proposal.
Execute a communications plan targeting  key stakeholders and other interested parties to build cross organisational engagement in EDW. Approach to include key delivery channels.
 
Business Engagement Governance and Framework
 
Produce a structure and framework that facilitates data warehouse governance and business - IT engagement e.g. attending various existing data governance forums.
Create the EDW operating model and processes including an EDW Steering Group that supports EDW foundation building and subsequent data acquisition project delivery as ongoing business activity.
Build a process that gathers business requirements for foundation project and subsequent data acquisition projects enabling EDW evolution.
Build an initial pipeline view of data acquisitions from existing data consumers that permits prioritisation and gap analysis of initial EDW candidate data projects.
Establish a Front Door process that supports new data acquisition business case assessments including a clearing house supporting approval / rejection for changes and subsequent EDW data acquisitions. 
 
Migration Strategy and Plan
 
Define the options for migrating existing data and BI/MI solutions to the EDW
Produce data migration strategy options paper for target data acquisitions
Produce recommended approach(s) for data migrations

This project will follow the standard project governance in Project Services.

Any changes to major milestones (Initiation, Planning, Delivery, Closure) will be approved by the Project Sponsor, Project Team and WIS.

Major milestones achievements and changes will be submitted to WIS for approval/noting as necessary.
