2020/21 have been especially challenging for the University. During the pandemic, we have all had to adapt as best we can to continue to deliver learning & teaching, research and our professional services. This adaptation has included rapid uptake of digital technology.

It is clear that digital technology and digital capability are key enablers to the future resilience of the University. It is also clear that Digital has to be used in a way that compliments and supports the overall mission of the University.

Given the strategic role that Digital is playing and will continue to play, the University has decided to produce a Digital Strategy to set out the future Digital Environment of the University, how this will support the University strategic goals and also produce a roadmap on how we will get there.

This project will develop the university wide Digital Strategy. It is envisaged that when this project has completed, other initiatives with take over implementation of the Digital Strategy. The governance of Digital Strategy implementation is yet to be determined.
