Q4 2018-19 Sustainable Campus Fund
- Report Date
- August 2019
This Quarter has seen only one Directors sign off meeting, on 9th May, at which all but 2 of the proposed projects were approved (QMRI solvent reduction was put on hold, and George Square lecture theatre lighting was rejected).
One UWG meeting was held at the end of June, at which 9 projects were proposed including one freezer fund application. Two pre-approved (under £10k) projects and one pre-approved freezer fund application were approved, but none of the remaining 6 projects were approved as decisions were awaiting strategic decision about future use of the funds (meeting to be held in August 2019)
SCF funds were supplied for 6 new ULT freezers in Q4. The Utilities Working Group were made aware of a possible future application for funds for a Freezer Farm at Easter Bush – pending more detailed thermal modelling calculations being commissioned by the Energy Office.
