Originally this project was to undertake a review of the university's authentication and authorisation services and how they are utilised. An outcome of the project will be to produce a report and recommendations to ensure that the university's infrastructure is fit for purpose and will continue to be able to adapt to the security requirements of IT services into the future. The project will pay due attention to enhancing the student experience of IT access management. (The scope may change to include specific actions for specific services after engaging with key stakeholders.)

However, in discussion with ITI, USD and Apps Directors, the project will now look at more practical changes that can be made to improve user experience of authenticating to some key services. These are VPN and Wireless service registration and authentication and Office 365 access especially through MyEd.
